1897 Pattern British Infantry Sabre

$900.00

A modern recreation of one of the most enduring swords created. Still used to this day in the british military as their ceremonial sabre, this sword pattern is from 1897, with the straight blade indicating that it was an infantry sword. Our version has been made with Historical European Martial Arts in mind, with a guard that offers exceptional hand protection covering only what it needs to and no more, so as to save on any uneeded weight. With the blade coming in at a tournament thrust weight, and an overall weight that has come in 30gms lighter than the original these are based off, this means that the blade is very quick and agile, but still able to stop whatever is thrown at it.

Specifications:

Overall Length: 985mm

Blade Length: 830mm

Handle Length: 140mm

Crossguard Width: 140mm

Weight: 789gm

Thrust Weight: 10kg

Point Of Balance: 135mm (from crossguard)

These swords are able to be ordered in both right and left handed guards upon request.
