The couter or armoured elbow, is a specialised piece of plate armour designed to protect the elbow joint, and cover the area between the upper arm, and forearm. Evolving from a simple domed circle attached to maille, to become either an articulated piece of the arm harness, or as a complex shape that is strong enough to stand as its own piece of armour. This second evolution is what we have recreated here, wether in the lists or on the piste, these floating elbows offer excellent protection, and being made from hardened steel they are incredibly durable.
Specifications:
Height: 125mm
Width: 195mm
Depth: 180mm
Weight: 756gm (Both)
Thickness: 1.2mm
Material: 1045 Hardened Steel
